CKS Group approached Law Security Systems to design an integrated security solution for their new recycling plant at Cinderford, near Gloucester.
The completed installation includes CCTV with perimeter protection and an external speaker system, Access control via secure doors and Automatic Barriers and an Intruder Alarm system.
Law Security installed a Galaxy Intruder Alarm throughout the whole premises, a comprehensive CCTV system was installed to cover all entry points, the perimeter and the internal recycling plant, Came G8000 barriers were installed to the main car park, lorry entrance and entry/exit from the weighbridge, each barrier had a Cotag proximity reader and BPT vandal resistant intercom connected to the internal access system. The offices were secured with Cotag Access controllers running Granta 5 software for easy customer management.
Law Security Systems integrated the weighbridge barriers to the Avery controls weighbridge to provide an automatic entry/exit solution controlled by traffic lights that were also installed by Law Security. In addition the external Dome cameras were programmed to automatically zoom into a vehicle as it entered the weighbridge, the same technology was used for all entry barriers, staff turnstiles and the warehouse shutter and Fire Doors, this meant that all areas could be recorded as and when a situation was highlighted.
The Cotag access control system was installed to all entry/exit routes and internal secure areas, staff were automatically logged onto the system when they arrived for work and logged off when they left, the true benefit of this system was to allow managers to see who was on site at a touch of a button, the Access system was connected to the Fire Alarm system and with Cotag’s X Link software automatically printed out a list of all personnel who were on site when the Fire Alarm triggered.
To complement the access control system BPT stainless steel intercoms were installed and connected to the building phone system allowing designated recipients internally to release the door.
The CCTV system was connected to an ADPRO Xtralis Fast Trace Digital recording system that allows a minimum of one months secure recording and all cameras had external movement detectors installed and connected to presets on the camera head allowing the dome to spin to a preset position when a detector was triggered, this ensures that true events are recorded even when the camera was facing the other way. To further complement the system an external speaker system was installed allowing the control room to relay a message over the speakers throughout the site. When the site is closed, arming the intruder alarm system automatically gives control of the CCTV system to our 24 hour Central Monitoring station who have full control of the site if an intrusion is identified.
Derek Morgan for CKS said, I have been in IT for over 40 years and was extremely impressed with the quality and simplicity of the Law Security System, I never realized that one service provider could meet all our stringent requirements and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. |
